1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Crochet League, operated by JThouse ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using crochetleague.jthouse.net (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Crochet League is a community platform that runs recurring crochet challenges. Registered users can join challenges, submit photos of their work, participate in community discussions, and appear on the leaderboard. Submissions are judged by our team, and top entries may receive prizes such as store coupons.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You may register using your email address or through Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may not create multiple accounts to manipulate challenge results, votes, or leaderboard standings.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos, comments, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it on the Service - including challenge galleries, the leaderboard, and community pages - and in materials promoting the Service.

You represent and warrant that Your Content is your own work, that you have the right to share it, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. Submitted photos must depict your own crochet work; submitting images copied from the internet or made by others is grounds for disqualification and account removal.

5. Acceptable Conduct

You agree not to:

Post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
Spam, advertise, or solicit other users without permission;
Impersonate other people or misrepresent your identity or work;
Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
Use bots, scripts, or multiple accounts to cheat in challenges or manipulate results.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion.

6. Challenges, Judging, and Prizes

Each challenge may have its own theme, deadlines, and rules published on the challenge page. Participants upload a photo of their work before the submission deadline.

After a challenge closes, submissions are judged by real people on our judging team - not by algorithms or community voting - across three categories: Execution, Color & Design, and Presentation. See How Judging Works for the full process.

Judging decisions are final. Prizes (such as store coupons) are awarded to the top-placed entries at our discretion, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for money. No purchase is necessary to participate. We may modify, suspend, or cancel challenges at any time, and may disqualify submissions that violate these Terms or the challenge rules.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, and software, is owned by Crochet League / JThouse and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service as intended.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with or without notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
